Skully is a bottle-cap-shooting game, dating from the early 20th century. Although some skully boards survive from that time, players would more commonly chalk the playing field on sidewalk or street pavement. Skully was popular in New York City and may have originated there.
The basic object of skully is to shoot one's bottle-cap through all the numbered boxes in order while avoiding the trapezoidal "skull zones" around the central number 13 box. Full rules of the game are given on several Internet sites.
